Metrobank Art & Design Excellence
Sculpture

From being a purely painting competition, the Metrobank Foundation expanded its arts program to include the sculpture competition in 2004. This expansion gave birth to the rebranding of the program into Metrobank Art & Design Excellence (MADE). Since then, the search for artistic excellence in the field of sculpture has evolved from young amateurs to professional sculptors.

Eligibility

The Metrobank Art and Design Excellence Sculpture Competition is open to all:

  • Filipino sculptors who have staged at least one solo exhibition
  • Must have not won in past Metrobank (MADE) Sculpture Competition

Specifications of the freestanding sculpture piece

Size:

  • Minimum volumetric size of 1728 cubic inches and maximum volumetric size of 13824 cubic inches
  • Excluding base, base size should not exceed 2 inches

Medium:

  • one or a combination of the following materials: resin, fiberglass, glass, metal, wood, stone  (concrete), fired clay (e.g.terracotta or stoneware)

Weight:

  • Not more than 40 kilos

The piece should NOT be signed by the artist

The use of a medium other than the specified medium will be a ground for disqualification

MADE winners will receive a glass trophy by sculptor Mr. Noel El Farroll and cash prize of P 300,000 each for all winners. Winners have the privilege to be a part of the alumni organization MADE-Network Of Winners (NOW) (see list of past winners).
